Special-Agent-in-Charge James Derringer is the head of the FBI office in Knoxville, Tennessee. Derringer is a career FBI man and a model supervisor except for his belief that some things are better taken care of outside the normal chain of command—in other words, by Delta Green instead. He is a trusted Delta Green Friendly.
